Paris Jackson has told fans that it isn't her role to defend her father, Michael Jackson, over sexual abuse claims in Leaving Neverland. The two-part documentary, which aired in the UK on Channel 4 last week, follows shocking claims of abuse from the popstar by two men, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who Michael befriended when they were children.

Replying to a fan, the 20-year-old tweeted: "There’s nothing I can say that hasn’t already been said in regards to defense. Taj is doing a perfect job on his own. and I support him. but that’s not my role. I'm just trying to get everyone to chill out and go with the flow, be mellow and think about the bigger picture. That’s me." Her cousin, Taj, has been protesting that MJ is innocent, claiming that the men are 'trying to make money' from Jackson.

It comes after The Sun reported that relatives are upset that Janet – as MJ’s most senior living relative - has not hit back at the four-hour film. A source close to the Jacksons told the newspaper: “In the past week there have been discussions among the Jacksons about the documentary and how it will affect Michael’s legacy. Everyone wanted Janet to release a statement condemning the documentary because she is the most senior member of the family after Michael. They feel she could have done more to support him against the allegations.”

Paris took to Twitter to extol her dad's 'good heart' last week. She wrote on Twitter: "Yeah, they do that to everyone with a good heart and tries to make a difference but do you really think that it's possible to tear his name down? Like do you truly believe they stand a chance? Relax and have peace." In the documentary, Safechuck, 42, claims a 29-year-old Jackson taught him to masturbate in France when he was only 10. He said they went on to have sex 'hundreds' of times and that they even staged a fake wedding together.
