Paris Jackson has landed the holiest role there is. The late daughter of Michael Jackson will star as the son of God in an indie film opposite Bella Thorne, and directed by Janell Shirtcliff.

(Bear with us though, as the plot is a lot.) Bella plays ‘a street-smart girl’ with a fetish for Jesus who ‘masquerades as a nun while trying to escape the consequences of a violent drug deal’. Right? It also stars rocker Gavin Rossdale, singer Josie Ho, Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart from the Kills, and one of the producers told Entertainment Weekly it would have a 'rocking' soundtrack.

And yes, you’d be right in thinking not everybody is happy about the seemingly bonkers plot - as over 260,000 people have signed a petition urging the film - dubbed as ‘Christianophobic garbage’ - not to be distributed. The petition also claims that Jackson will play Jesus as a ‘lesbian’, though we don’t actually know whether this is true yet.

The petition reads: 'A new blasphemous Hollywood film is predicted to come out soon depicting Jesus as a lesbian woman. The film 'Habit' stars Paris Jackson who plays the role of 'lesbian Jesus'. Distributors haven’t picked it up as of yet, so let’s please spread awareness and wake people up to the Christianophobic garbage that is spread nowadays, but is somehow accepted and praised by society.'

And there's another petition, too, ran by One Million Moms which has been signed by over 69,000 people. While lots of people might be unhappy about it, the horror is already in post-production and Paris has filmed her parts. So there might not be a lot they can do.
