An anti-drugs group in the Philippines, Laban ng Pamilyang Pilipino, reportedly want One Direction to take a drugs test before performing in Manila on 21 and 22 March – and Directioners have gone mental on Twitter.
The hashtag #StopTheDRUGTESTfor1DPH started trending, with fans outraged – sort of reminiscent of that time when the video of Zayn and Louis smoking weed went viral and there was a rumour going round that they would be banned from the Philippines.
‘Our group is ready to lead the people of the Philippines to ensure the safety of the millions of Filipino One Direction fans, by promoting no drug test, no entry in the Philippines,’ Laban ng Pamilyang Pilipino said last June. ‘Please show the world that we have a law that stars should consider and respect.’
Thankfully, that didn’t happen, but this time it might – the leaders have been told to submit a request for drug testing to the Filipino government – and Directioners have taken to Twitter to air their concerns. And by concerns we mean ‘hysteria’:
Hey guys, where’s the faith? You know those tests will be totally negati... lol. Watch this space to see whether the boys will be refused entry or not.
