Love Island this year got off to a chaotic start. After only three days in the villa, contestant Ollie Williams decided to leave, telling his fellow contestants that he realised he was still in love with his ex-girlfriend - and that he wanted to quit the show so he could try and win her back. And well, it seems like he's actually succeeded with his mission.

The lord-to-be has done a photoshoot with his ex Laura Nofer for The Sun Online{ =nofollow}, telling the publication how he rang her as soon as he left the villa to confess his love for her. 'I now realise that Laura is the girl I want to marry,' he said. 'I'm so grateful she has taken me back. We're going to move in together in London over the next few months. I can't wait to start a life with her.'

The pair originally dated for a year and a half after meeting at Royal Holloway university, but split because of distance.

In the villa, Ollie was coupled with Paige (Lewis Capaldi's ex) and he says that it's then that he realised he wanted Laura back. 'I suddenly realised I was trying to develop feelings for Paige and my brain was telling me to do it but I knew my heart was elsewhere,' he said. 'Blonde is my type, but trying to develop romantic feelings for someone else made me realise. I couldn’t risk losing the love of my life. The girls in there made me realise just how special Laura was to me and unless she had walked through the doors then it wouldn’t matter.'

There was fan conspiracy that Ollie left because of unearthed photos which saw him pose with animals he had hunted{ =nofollow}. However, ITV denied this. 'Ollie made the decision to leave off his own back and explained his reasons for doing so in his quote,’ a Love Island spokesperson said. ‘He was not made aware while he was in the villa of any press stories running about him but, as with all Islanders, since leaving the villa he has now been briefed as to what has been written and said about him as part of our duty of care.’ They concluded: ‘We will be supporting Ollie as he leaves the villa.’
