Just days after Prince Harry took part in a conference in which he, Prince Charles and Prince William announced an effort to protect endangered species of wildlife, a photo has emerged of him posing with a dead water buffalo.
The picture, which was taken in 2004 when Harry was on a hunting trip with then-girlfriend Chelsy Davy during his gap year in Argentina, shows the prince with a shotgun in hand next to the dead animal.
Water buffalo, which are not endangered, are seen as a trophy kill for hunters in the country, according to the Mirror.
The Prince was hunting on a 170,000 acre ranch owned by Count Claudio Zichy-Thyssen, who stocks the ranch with a variety animals and birds for hunting, including red stag, wild deer, antelopes, doves and more.
A royal aide responded to the emergence of the picture, saying, 'It would be a great shame if the publication of this picture were to detract from the efforts being made by the three princes to curb the appalling illegal wildlife trade.'
Something tells us it, er, might.
