What were you doing age five? Well, North West, alongside her mother Kim Kardashian and grandmother Kris Jenner, is starring in her first major fashion campaign as part of a portrait series to mark Fendi’s new Peekaboo bag campaign.
‘They are very similar to the women in the FENDI family with strong personalities and determined. At the same time, they are passionate, they really love deeply. And they like to break rules’, the Italian luxury label’s creative director Silvia Venturini Fendi says of the colossally famous Kardashians.
A series of 18 images and a short film, which is soundtracked by Kanye West’s Love Lockdown, featuring the family will be seeded out on June 11th. Shot in James Goldstein's John Lautner property using a mixture of black-and-white and polaroid-style imagery, it conveys a sense of intimacy away from the prying eyes of the Keeping Up With The Kardashian camera crews.
This will be the second instalment of Fendi’s #MeandMyPeekaboo project. Initially to mark the 10th anniversary of the decade-defining handbag, the Fendi family - Silvia and daughters Delfina Delettrez Fendi and Leonetta Luciano Fendi - fronted a video and photo album focusing on their relationship with the Peekaboo.
Following the Kardashian’s Los Angeles-shot series, a further chapter is lined up staring Ewan McGregor’s daughters Clara and Esther. Two more episodes are expected starring two more famous families, one from South Korean and another from Hong Kong.
Make sure you get a copy of Grazia magazine in print on 17th July to see the full series of images and hear Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner's thoughts on the campaign.
