Just when you thought Chris Brown couldn’t possibly get any more unlikable here’s one for you: his newest video is sponsored by ‘extra-marital dating site’ Ashley Madison.

Most brands who partner up have synergy, and Ashley Madison whose tagline is ‘Life is short. Have an affair’ certainly has a synergy with Brown, in that the company is almost as despised as the singer.

CEO and founder of Ashley Madison Noel Biderman said in a press release that the company ‘jumped’ at the opportunity to be a part of the video for Loyal ‘despite his recent troubles’, pointing out their shared experience of being ‘vilified’ in the media.

'The link between Chris and AshleyMadison.com was natural as he is a controversial figure that people react instantly to. Our brand has long been vilified in the media, despite more than 24 million members signing up to the site. Chris has faced the same media scrutiny, yet we know that millions of his fans from around the world will view this video upon its release. Despite Chris’ latest setback, AshleyMadison.com is committed to this artist and we plan to stand by our man.'

Brown is currently in jail in California for violating the terms of his probation by getting kicked out of rehab.

Biderman went on to say: ‘Music and infidelity have long been tied together. For decades, artists have sung about people’s cheating ways, and songs have the power to make people think about their own relationship.’

What's that expression – two wrongs don’t make a right? Well, that.
