Want to win an Oscar? Well, maybe that dream isn’t so unattainable - thanks to Natalie Portman. It’s been reported by Varietythat Natalie - who won an Oscar in 2011 for the dark ballet film Black Swan - has signed up with educator MasterClass to offer online sessions which will cover acting essentials such as how she researches her roles, how to work with a director and how to choose how to speak and use dialects for a character. The actress, who has been acting since she was 12 and 'didn't go to a traditional drama school', will also include case studies on her most notable roles from the 40(+) films she has starred in.
The cost for such coveted advice? £70. (A bargain compared to drama school fees.) And as you can upload videos of your efforts, the company says she might even crtique your work.
“Acting is a joyful experience. It’s the act of empathy and play,”the Star Wars actress said in a statement promoting her class. "You should be free to be creative, try new things and make mistakes. That is how I learned.” She added: “In this class, I’m excited to share what I’ve pieced together over 25 years as an actress — things that have worked for me, things that I’ve seen work well for others, and tips I created to help myself.”
The San Francisco-based company, which launched in 2015, also offers other celebrity-led classes. Other celebs who have worked with the firm include Martin Scorsese, Spike Lee and Jodie Foster.

Natalie will next be starring in sci-fi drama Lucy In The Sky, where she stars as an astronaut who has an affair with a fellow astronaut - but it all begins to unravel when she gets back down to Earth. It's expected to be released later this year.
