Last night, the stars of the charts descended on Seville, Spain for the MTV European Music Awards. Luckily, it was a big night for UK acts, as Little Mix took home best UK & Ireland act, Liam Gallagher was crowned rock icon and FKA Twigs was awarded best alternative act. US singer Becky G hosted the event, with the audience enjoying performances from Niall Horan, Halsey and Mabel.

With a bold new blonde/black hairstyle (that we adore), Dua Lipa{ =nofollow}opened the show with her comeback single Don't Start Now. The singer was also supported at the ceremony by her boyfriend, Anwar Hadid – where they posed for cute pics together, leaving no uncertainty that they're together.

Winning the best look award on the night was Halsey, who proved her style credentials by having not one, not two, not three, but five outfit changes on the night.

Ariana Grande led the pack with seven nominations, but didn’t take anything home. Shawn Mendes and Billie Eilish were both nominated for six awards, and were slightly more successful; Mendes won best artist and Eilish won best song for bad guy and best new artist. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift{ =nofollow}had a victorious night, as she was awarded best video for Me! featuring Brendon Urie and best US act. Check out all the winners below.
