Where is Lindsay Lohan? Is a question that’s constantly on all of our minds, and now, it’s on MP Philip Hollobone’s too.
Now you’re probably wondering who MP Philip Hollobone is aren’t you. Well, if you cast your mind back to June this year, yes, that time when that Brexit thing happened, and remember what LiLo was up to then that might jog your memory. Yep, you got it, Philip Hollobone is the Kettering MP who found A list celebrity level fame for a fleeting moment when he was forced to defend his town from Lindsay Lohan’s scathing tweets.
The Mean Girls Actress tweeted, upon hearing that Kettering had voted to leave, saying Sorry, but Kettering where are you.' Now, Kettering is a small-ish town and if you’re not from the midlands you may not know where it is either, and maybe you even feel as dismissive of it as LiLo, but all this and more is why Hollobone felt obliged to raise the matter in the House of Commons.
‘Apart from the fact it might be the most average town in the country, everyone knows where Kettering is,’ he said. ‘So would you support my invitation to Lindsay Lohan to come and switch on the Christmas lights in Kettering this Christmas, thus redeeming her political reputation and raising money for good causes?’
Lindsay promptly responded:
We applaud Hollobone for his honourable efforts to redeem LiLo’s political reputation, but we fear it may be too late for that. Especially as the actress, having initally agreed to accept the offer, is now AWOL and not responding to Hollobone’s requests.
‘Lindsay Lohan said she would come to switch on the Christmas lights in Kettering, but despite everyone’s best efforts it’s not been possible to track her down to arrange the details of when, where, and how’ he told Buzzfeed News. ‘Kettering borough council organises the switch-on and would love to hear from her.’
We know due to research (read: Instagram obsession with LiLo) that in the last month she’s been in Lebanon, Athens and Istanbul. Basically everywhere apart from Kettering. So you guys let’s all help #findlindsay, so she can make Kettering’s Christmas wishes come true.
