Before their love story abruptly ended, Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury were set to be the stars of their own reality TV show. The couple, who have been together for five years after finding each other on Love Island, had been reported to open up their lives to the cameras for a new series, along with their 18-month-old daughter Bambi.
However, plans went off-course when the pair, both 25, broke off their engagement and relationship yesterday.
‘Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this. After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way,' Molly-Mae wrote in her statement. Tommy added, ‘I am heartbroken to share that Molly and I have decided to end our relationship.’
What show were Molly-Mae and Tommy going to do?
Molly-Mae and Tommy, who got engaged in July 2023, were reportedly in talks with Amazon Prime about filming a TV series.
‘Molly-Mae and Tommy are in talks to star in their own reality series with Prime Video,’ a source said. ‘Over the years, they have had multiple streaming platforms approach them to do a fly-on-the-wall show, their lives and careers are so interesting and their fanbase would love a closer look into everything that goes on behind the scenes.’
When did Molly-Mae and Tommy start filming their reality show?
News about the proposed show was revealed in June, but nothing had been confirmed then. A TV insider said that they were going to start work on it the following month so that it would cover their engaged lives up to their wedding, which was planned for 2025.
Molly hinted that the new project was on the horizon in a recent Instagram Q&A, saying, ‘We also have a really big change happening for our family in July, which is super exciting and will take a lot of our time.’
At the time, the source claimed, ‘The deal is yet to be signed on the dotted line but if it is, they hope to begin filming with the family in July and continue right up until they get married. Their wedding is going to be a big event and a moment they want to share with viewers but on their own terms.’
They added, ‘Molly is fiercely business minded and she knows television is the perfect way to open her following up to a new audience and show any of her doubters she is the real deal.’

Aside from Love Island in 2019, where they finished as runners-up to Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea, Molly-Mae and Tommy – the younger brother of world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson – appeared in At Home With The Furys, featuring Tommy’s family, which aired on Netflix in 2023.
In December 2019, Tommy, a boxer who has defeated the likes of Jake Paul and KSI, starred in ITV2’s The Boxer And The Ballroom Dancer alongside fellow Love Islander Curtis Pritchard, where they swapped careers. He’s set to make his film acting debut in The Debt Inherited.
