Molly-Mae Hague’s normally active Instagram feed has been lying dormant since the star shocked her followers by announcing that she was splitting from Tommy Fury, her boyfriend of five years.
But now, the 25 year old has broken her silence on the scandal that has been swirling around her former relationship. Sharing a relaxed picture of herself enjoying the English countryside Molly-Mae wrote simply, ‘Thank you for being the best online friends I could’ve ever wished for’ – referencing the overwhelming support that she has received from her fans and followers since the news broke.
Naturally Molly-Mae’s followers were quick to show their support for the Love Island star yet again. One commented, ‘You’re showing girls and women to know their worth, to not settle or put up with any kind of disrespectful behaviour. Stay strong, sending love’ whilst Mrs Hinch wrote, ‘I promise you’ll slowly mend Molly, and be stronger than you ever knew possible, until then millions are here to help hold you up. Sending love.’
Molly-Mae and Tommy, 25, announced their split on 14 August, taking to Instagram with separate statements to inform their followers.
‘Never in a million years did I think I'd ever have to write this,’ Molly-Mae wrote. ‘After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way. I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy's relationship has come to an end.’
The star – who is reportedly worth £6.4million – has always been open and honest with her fans especially about her relationship and parenthood, daughter Bambi with Tommy in January 2023. The pair were said to be working on an Amazon Prime show together before their split.
Indeed, just days before their split Molly-Mae revealed that she had essentially been a single mother whilst Tommy had been away, working on his audiobook.
In a candid YouTube video the entrepreneur shared, ‘He’s done it now, and I’m so proud of him because I know that was a really big deal to him, but I have been solo parenting pretty much the entire week. Actually I’ve been solo parenting for like, two weeks now, basically because Tommy’s just been so busy.
‘When he’s home from doing work and stuff, he’s so incredible and so helpful. I can’t say any different. Like, he’s such an incredible dad. But I have been this week, like, just really… mum life has been mum life-ing. I just feel like, at the minute I've been struggling a little bit.’
