Music movies are having a big moment. Elton John’s Rocketman, Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, and that film where The Beatles music never existed and Ed Sheeran makes an appearance. Now, Suzi Quatro wants a piece of the action, and is getting involved in creating a biopic about her very own life. And she has already headhunted who she wants to play her - and, tbh, it’s a perfect match.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, the legendary singer has said that none other than Miley Cyrus has been approached for the leading role. Speaking about who could play her, she told the show, ‘Jeez, I wish I could do it myself, but Miley Cyrus{
Even if Miley doesn’t get involved the punk rocker will be getting the final say about the casting - and Suzi, who is working on the film behind-the-scenes, has made it clear that she needs to get the right vibes from any prospective actresses. ‘But I’m going to be involved in the casting obviously, and unless I get the vibe…,’ she added. ‘I want a vibe. I’m working on the screenplay with the writer.’
To be honest, we definitely think Miley has the right vibe, what with being a strong independent woman, an incredible musician, and known for having an incredibly rock and roll lifestyle. That, and her acting is just as good as her singing – look no further than her Black Mirror episode, which satirised the darker side of the music industry.
