Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are quite the down to earth couple. From the breezy way they got to know each other (they met years and years ago on the set of 'That '70s Show' when Mila was 14 to Ashton's 19, but started casually seeing eachother while both single in 2012) to their modest honeymoon cruising around California in an RV, they seem to keep things real. Now they've spoken out about their feelings on Christmas, and specifically Christmas presents.
Kunis was brought up in Communist Russia with a Jewish background, and while she has celebrated Christmas since living in America, she's holding out on any gifts for her two children - for the time being, at least. She told Entertainment Tonight: 'So far, our tradition is no presents for the kids. We're instituting it this year because when the kids are [younger than] one, it doesn't really matter. Last year, when we celebrated Christmas, Wyatt was two and it was too much. We didn't give her anything - it was the grandparents. The kid no longer appreciates the one gift. They don't even know what they're expecting; they're just expecting stuff'.
The couple have asked that their parents give one gift only - or make a charitable donation instead.
Kunis wants to focus on the more important aspects of the festive holiday, like spending time with loved ones: 'Whether it's Easter, which we've now all accepted into our Jewish household, or Christmas, it doesn't matter. It's all family time'.
