Congratulations are in order for Zara and Mike Tindall, who have just welcomed their third child. A spokesperson for the couple confirmed the news this morning, saying, 'Zara and Mike Tindall are happy to announce the birth of their third child, Lucas Philip Tindall.' Lucas - who is 22nd in line to the throne - joins the couple's two other children seven-year-old Mia and two-year-old Lena.

The new arrival is the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh’s 10th great-grandchild, and a statement from Buckingham Palace says that they look forward to meeting Lucas when circumstances allow.

Mike spoke about the birth on his podcast, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, revealing that Zara gave birth at home. After talking about Saturday's matches he said: 'Sunday got even better because a little baby boy arrived at my house.'

'Arrived very quickly,' he added, speaking about the birth. 'Didn't make it to hospital. On the bathroom floor. So yeah, it was running to the gym, get a mat, get into the bathroom, get the mat on the floor, towels down, brace, brace, brace.'

Mike also revealed that Zara's friend Dolly, who was also at there for the birth of their two other children, was there. 'Fortunately the midwife who was going to meet us at the hospital wasn't that far away so she drove up just as we had assumed the posit [position] and the second midwife arrived just after the head had arrived,' he added. Mia and Lena were not present for the birth as Zara had been having contractions through the night.

When one of his co-presenters jokily asked if Zara, an equestrian, was 'back on a horse', Mike replied: 'As every man will say, she was a warrior as always, they always are.'
