Congratulations are in order for Michelle Williams and her husband Thomas Kail who have welcomed their first child together. The actress and the director are reported to have secretly wed in March - and her pregnancy was revealed back in December, with US Weekly reporting that the child has now arrived. The baby is Michelle's second child, as she is mum to daughter Matilda, 14, from her previous relationship with the late Heath Ledger.
The pair are a Hollywood power couple if ever we've seen one, as Kail directed Williams in the drama Fosse/Verdon, for which she won the Emmy Award for lead actress. It's reported that the couple met on the drama which Thomas directed and produced - but reports claim claimed that 14-year-old Matilda played matchmaker. Michelle and Thomas - who directed Broadway hit Hamilton - went public with their relationship at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremonies earlier this year.
Since Ledger passed away in 2008, Michelle has never given up on finding love. She told Vanity Fair in 2018, ‘I never gave up on love. I always say to Matilda, “Your dad loved me before anybody thought I was talented, or pretty, or had nice clothes.”’ She added, 'Don’t settle for something that feels like a prison or is hard, or hurts you. If it doesn’t feel like love, it’s not love.'
