The Spice Girls' UK comeback tour might have ended - but the drama is apparently still rumbling on. The Sun is reporting that plans for further tour dates in Australia – along with a residency in Las Vegas – have been scrapped because of fears of a feud between Mel B and Geri.

The publication reports that Geri almost quit the band in July (like she did in 1998) and that the pair met with bandmates Emma Bunton and Melanie C last month to discuss the future of the group.

A music source told the paper, ‘Mel is a real character and has long clashed with Geri, who decided it wasn’t worth carrying on as things could really become explosive. Last time they performed in the US, in 2008, there was chaos with all the arguing. It has put Geri off — as well as Melanie C and Emma to some degree. Mel B had announced during their final show at Wembley Stadium in June that they were going to tour Australia, which really annoyed Geri.'

The source added, 'Geri was adamant that doing big commitments abroad would only be worth it if they were financially lucrative. But the payday for a residency would be much lower than their UK shows and would mean the girls being away from their families and other jobs for a prolonged period.'
