Meghan Trainor has shared that she can't smile anymore because of Botox injections. The 'All About That Bass' singer opened up about her tweakments on an episode of Working' On It With Meghan & Ryan Trainor, the podcast which she co-hosts with her brother, Ryan Trainor.

In the episode, she says that she'd received 'too much Botox' and jokes that she needs help.

'To all my fellow girlies out there who are in your 30s out there, hi,' she said. 'I got too much Botox, and I need help.'

She went on to say she's had Botox 'a handful of times … just my forehead' but it was a 'lip flip' that she regrets, which is a procedure where Botox is injected to relax the upper lip and make it look fuller.

'Someone convinced me with my little lips that if you did a lip flip, you put filler right above your upper lip, that you could have a beautiful flip on your upper lip,' she said. 'And I could have one for the first time in my whole 30 years of living — it was not true.'

The singer said the result is that she can't smile in the way she wants. 'I cannot smile anymore,' she said. 'Everywhere I go, I cannot smile.'

In the video version of the episode, Meghan then demonstrates the limited range of movement her mouth now has. In hindsight, Meghan says she realises her smile 'lights up a room' and when it’s not there, 'it’s a dim light'.

Meghan's brother and co-host added that he first noticed the issue when they were at a Home Goods store together. It was after this Meghan couldn’t 'unsee it', she said. 'My face hurts to smile, to even try,' she added.

The 'Mother' singer then showed a photo of herself where she was clearly supposed to be happy but didn't look pleased at all. 'I don’t look happy. I look like I smelled someone’s fart … somebody help me,' she said.

She also shared that it was positive reinforcement from fans that encouraged her to keep getting Botox. 'I was like, "This is young". People gave me compliments [saying] "You look rested". So I was like, "I’m going to do it again." I just got back from tour.'

But looking back on her decision to get the cosmetic injections, the Grammy winner said it's not worth 'trying everything'.

In the same episode, she said she was seriously considering getting a breast augmentation however. 'I’m getting a boob job because my mommy boobies were full of milk and now they’re empty and then they’re full of milk and now they’re empty,' she said. 'They got big, they got small, they got big, they got small. I’ve lost some weight and I have, like, saggy sacks as boobs.'
