The holiday season is fast approaching. For Meghan Markle, that means a Thanksgiving trip back home to L.A to spend some quality time with her closest family. According to E! News, the actress 'is planning to fly to L.A to spend Thanksgiving with her mom,' Doria Radlan, having just wrapped on her seventh (and apparently final) season of *Suits. *
Though her boyfriend Prince Harry has met Doria on a number of occasions, it's not yet clear whether he'll be jetting over to the US for the holiday, given that he has a number of scheduled public appearances set to take place during the latter part of November.
A source told E! that Meghan's work on *Suits *ended up over-running by a day, meaning that she was forced to miss the New Orleans wedding of her friend, Serena Williams. 'Meghan was supposed to wrap by Wednesday, but for whatever reason, she ended up having to work Thursday morning in Toronto. I think that's why she didn't show at Serena's,' the insider explained.
While the star was photographed earlier this week wearing a bridal gown to shoot a wedding scene for her character Rachel Zane, speculation has stepped up surrounding Meghan's imminent departure from the show. The rumours appeared to be inadvertently confirmed yesterday when Nicky Bursic, who is the actress's body double on the show, posted a photo of her with Meghan on Instagram, captioned with a warm farewell message.
'It's been an absolute pleasure and honour being your 'STAND-IN' for the last two years @meghanmarkle. Though I've been on @suitsusa for six years, the latter two have been the most memorable. Wishing you all the happiness in the world Bella,' she wrote.
It has long been rumoured that Meghan is set to step back from her acting career as she adjusts to royal life ahead of an official engagement announcement. Last month, Grazia reported that the royal-in-waiting is house-hunting a stone's throw from Kensington Palace, and is seeking to find a base while she focuses on her charity work and philanthropic endeavours.
‘She’s committed to her role with World Vision Canada, but she wants to do more global work,’ said a source. ‘She and Harry have discussed it. She is looking for a place in London from where she can run her business – essentially her charity work.’
