Meghan Markle could probably afford any tights she wanted, but it’s been revealed that the Duchess of Sussex is a secret fan of – wait for it – hosiery from Marks and Spencers. Even though she usually opts to go without tights, it’s been reported by The Sunthat Meghan wore a pair of Autograph tights to a service at Westminster Abbey on Monday, all for the tiny price of £6. It’s believed she opted to cover up for the Commonwealth Day event as the Queen prefers royal women to wear tights.
A source told the newspaper: “Meghan loves M&Sand is a proud supporter of British brands.” The paper had actually reported yesterday that the Duchess refused to wear tights from the retailer, but the palace later confirmed that she was a fan of the brand. Of course, it isn’t the first time the former Suits actress has been spotted sporting Marks and Sparks. Last year, she wore a black bell sleeved jumper – costing £45 – which prompted the item to sell out nearly straight after she was spied in it. She wore a £49 dress to the Royal Albert Hall in November, too.

However, for Monday’s occasion, she paired the tights with a pricier Victoria Beckham ensemble, with a printed white midi dress and matching white hat. Meanwhile, sister-in-law Katewore a red Catherine Walker outfit, which she has worn previously. It also looked like the Duchess of Sussex appeared to fight back tears at the service during Alfie Boe's rousing rendition of a Snow Patrol ballad. Meghan, who is eight months pregnant, also watched performances from Clean Bandit and the B Positive choir during the service of celebration.
