It’s not even been a week since Meghan{
It looks like the deal was kickstarted at The Lion King premiere in July last year, where Harry and Meghan met Disney CEO Bob Iger. And there's evidence, as a resurfaced video sees Harry telling the boss that his wife is interested in doing voiceovers. ‘You know she does voiceovers,’ Harry can be heard saying, as Iger replies, ‘Oh, really?’ Then, gesturing towards Meghan, who was speaking with Beyoncé and JAY-Z several feet away, Harry can be heard saying, ‘She’s really interested.’ (Who said networking didn’t lead to new job opportunities?)
Understandably, Meghan gave up acting following her engagement to Harry in 2017, telling BBC News at the time, ‘I don’t see [my engagement] as giving anything up, I just see it as a change. It’s a new chapter.' She continued, speaking about her role as Rachel Zane on Suits, which she had since 2011. 'Also, keep in mind, I’ve been working on my show Suits for seven years. We’re very, very fortunate to have that sort of longevity on a series. Once we hit the 100 episode marker, I thought, "You know, I have ticked this box."'
Disney is yet to comment on the deal - but we’ll be keeping an ear out for when we can (hopefully) hear Meghan on screen.
