Apparently there are ‘new concerns’ in the royal family – and it’s all to do with a children’s book. According to The Sun{ =nofollow}, Meghan Markle has ‘upset’ the royals by ‘keeping a secret Hollywood agent and business team to run her career’ – a business team that is believed to be in negotiations for her first children’s book, which the former actress has reportedly already written.

The upset is apparently because, 'as a full-time member of the royal family', these matters would normally be handled by palace staff. The paper has reported that the Duchess is being advised ‘on the quiet’ by agent Nick Collins (of her former talent agency The Gersh Company, whose clients include Tobey Maguire and Jamie Foxx{ =nofollow}), business manager Andrew Meyer and attorney Rick Genow.

A source told the paper, ‘As a full-time member of the Royal Family, it would be the expectation for that type of work to be exclusively handled by Palace staff who balance individual desire over what’s right for the wider institution. It is clear she is wanting to keep surrounding herself with her Hollywood people. That wasn’t the expectation.’

Buckingham Palace said in a statement, ‘Rick, Andrew and Nick have been legal, financial and business advisers to the Duchess for many years during her career in the US and remain friends.’

Meghan follows Sarah Ferguson, the author of a series of books about a character called Budgie the Helicopter in the late nineties, and Prince Charles, who released children’s book The Old Man of Lochnagar in 1980.
