Selfie sticks are annoying, right? They’re fiddly - and you don’t always get the best photo. Eventhe royals{ =nofollow}, who have photographs taken of them literally all the time, sympathise with this predicament. And when Meghan and Harry saw a couple struggling to take a picture with a selfie stick, apparently Meghan intervened, asking if the pair wanted her to take their photo. (There's nothing better than someone asking to take your photo, instead of awkwardly approaching strangers!)

According to CTV News, the royals approached Iliya Pavlovic and Asymina Kantorowicz while they were hiking through Vancouver Island's Horth Hill Regional Park on New Year's Day. And, surprisingly, the pair didn’t even recognize the royals at first. In fact, Asymina said she only recognised them when she thought that Meghan's Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, who the pair had been holidaying with, looked familiar. She also said that Meghan was ‘super friendly’ and that Prince Harry joked while Meghan was taking the picture, telling her ‘no pressure.’

Obviously, the whole encounter was a lot to take in. Asymina said afterwards, ‘We kind of turned to each other laughed and said, "Did that just happen?" I still can't believe it. It feels like a dream. We didn't want to make a big deal of it. We really appreciated that she stopped to take a photo for us. We would not have recognized them had they not approached us.’ She also added that they both called their families after it happened, to tell them that they had just casually encountered royalty. ‘I was in shock and I didn’t want to make it a big deal. But then we both called our moms to tell them.’
