They announced the news via a statement, which read, ‘We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen.’ And the BBC have reported that the royal family are ‘hurt’ since the couple did not consult any senior royals before putting out the statement.
