Rapper Meek Mill is a Philadelphia-born rapper who first found fame in the early 2010s when his debut album, Dreams and Nightmares, reached number two on the Billboard charts. However, last year his name was tied in with a lawsuit against Sean Diddy Combs, leaving fans wondering how well he knows the music mogul.

So, how does he know Diddy, and is he involved in the trial against the music mogul at all?

When did Meek Mill meet Diddy?

It’s unclear when exactly Meek Mill- whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams- met Sean Combs, but as he rose to fame in the mid-2010s, it would have been impossible for him not to cross paths with the famous mogul. There are pictures of the pair together proving that they at least knew each other in passing, but they have never collaborated professionally.

What was the Meek Mill and Diddy audio?

Following Combs’s arrest in September last year, an audio of a sexual nature began circulating online allegedly featuring the voices of both Diddy and Meek Mill. This began to gain traction earlier this year when producer Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones Jr alleged that a Philadelphia rapper who dated Nikki Minaj had a sexual relationship with P Diddy in a lawsuit, which many fans believe was a cryptic reference to Meek. In Lil Rod’s lawsuit against Diddy, he accused the music mogul of sexual misconduct, assault, and harassment, but Meek was not accused of any wrongdoing.

However, the audio is now believed to be AI-generated, and Meek Mill quickly took to Twitter to speak out against it.

‘They manipulated these devices so bad,’ he wrote. He then suggested that bots were being used to fuel a conspiracy theory against him, writing, ‘My voice so powerful as a black man from the ghetto worldwide they want it gone! Ima real king straight out the trenches under control of no human… they learned how to damage “can’t stop us” of brands from bots and campaigns like politicians!’

He added, ‘We seen this happen to every black man… I be doing unseen black ghetto kid s**** “now I’m gay” lol I get it!’ He continued, ‘The two things they say… we snitching or we gay… we generating hundreds of millions from music it’s not a coincidence we all gay and snitches.’

He also tweeted that he would offer an investigative team $100k to find out who was behind the recording and why media outlets continue to use his name in relation to the Diddy case.

He remains adamant that the recording is false, and so far he has not been revealed as a witness called to testify in the case against Diddy.
