Move Over, #BologneseGate, Mary Berry's Facing Another Food Controversy This Week

Just when we thought Mary Berry couldn’t shock us anymore (#BologneseGate anyone?) she’s taken it one step further.

First of all, she's told the world she puts garlic in her homemade dough, and this alone has angered the world, but is it really that big a step?

We all know garlic is a great addition to, well, anything. Let’s consider garlic and herb dip, or the overarching saviour that is garlic bread.

But it gets worse:

On Monday evening the world learned that Mary Berry has never ordered a takeaway pizza in her life.

Nope - never.

Not after a night out, or on a hungover afternoon, or just for a lazy dinner...never.

The announcement has caused chaos nationwide:

While most of us class a takeaway pizza as a gift from God after a night out, it’s clear Mary doesn’t share the same thoughts, as viewers watched with disgust as she delicately picked apart her pizza with a knife and fork.

Mary admitted last year that she’d never ordered a takeaway at all (yep, so that’s no Saturday night Chinese or fish and chips either) so her latest admission should not have come as such a surprise, after all.

The world is waiting to see what she’ll try next:
