Now, Mark has looked back on former relationships. Perhaps his engagement has made him nostalgic.
Mark was a guest on Thirty-FiveVentures CEO Rich Kleiman’s podcast Boardroom: Out of Office, and mused on former loves. 'Did the relationships not work because I was so driven, or was I so driven because I had a hole in my soul or psyche from something else? What was even driving me that much?' he asked.
'Those workaholic tendencies became my best friend and my worst enemy at the same time. I was having success. So that’s positive reinforcement for being a workaholic too, but I was also using it to run from s**t. I was definitely using it because it was a crutch at times.'
The superstar producer revealed the news on the engagement in early June via The FADER Uncovered podcast - he clearly loves podcasts - saying: 'I got engaged last weekend.' On the episode, which featured one of Mark's collaborators Tame Impala, he also spoke about their first kiss, saying it was while listening to Tame Impala's debut album InnerSpeaker. 'There's a plaque for that somewhere. There's a first kiss, very corny Hallmark first kiss plaque,' he said. 'But no, it was forever, it will be etched. It's still my record.'
Like Meryl, Grace is also an actress and her TV work includes roles in The Newsroom and American Horror Story: Freak Show, Extant and Mr. Robot.

Mark split from wife French model and actress Josephine De La Baume in 2017. He was also briefly engaged to Rashida Jones - Quincy Jones’ daughter and star of Parks and Recreation - in 2003. Grace was married to Grace’s Tay Strathairn, son of actor David Strathairn, very briefly in August 2019.
