There's wedding bells for Industry actress Marisa Abela, who married her partner Jamie Bogyo on 13 September. The couple, who met when they were students in 2016, tied the knot in a legal ceremony in Islington Town Hall last week, before having a second ceremony with all their family and friends at Firle Place in East Sussex the following weekend.
The BAFTA-winning actress wore a dress by Emilia Wickstead and walked down the aisle to the theme from Cinema Paradiso. She opened up about the day in an interview with Vogue. 'We wrote our own vows,' she said. 'It was the greatest moment of our lives. We cried, of course. Completely overwhelmed. There was just so much love in that room. It was just the most personal, heartfelt ceremony.'

Jamie Bogyo is an actor and writer. He attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art for three years, before going on to major in playwriting at Yale University. His professional debut came when he played Christian in Moulin Rouge! The Musical.
He has also had roles in Operation Epsilon at Southwark Playhouse Elephant, and the lead role of ‘Alex’ in the revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Aspects of Love in the West End. Alongside his acting credentials, Jamie's debut play, Safe Space, is set to premiere at Chichester Festival Theatre in October 2025.

Speaking about meeting Jamie in an interview with Vogue, Marisa said: 'We were best friends throughout the course, and Jamie finally asked me out when we were graduating in 2019,' adding 'We’ve been together ever since.'

In an interview with The Evening Standard this year, Marisa explained she and Jamie got engaged on Primrose Hill before he took her for a surprise dinner at Bocca di Lupo in Soho. 'I thought that it was just going to be the two of us but he booked out the entire private dining room downstairs and there were 40 of my friends and family there. We all had big bowls of pasta and calamari and sharing steaks and fish. It was a feast,' she told the outlet.
