Being the daughter of the President of the United States has its perks: you get to live in a ginormous mansion; you get to fly on Air Force One; you get to meet your idols; and, of course, you get to pursue any career path you want.
As previously reported, 15-year-old Malia Obama’s summer work experience was on the set of the new TV series Extant, starring Halle Berry, and now more details have emerged about her role last week.
Malia apparently assumed all the usual responsibilities of a production assistant, including fetching coffee and blocking members of the public from walking into shots. She had Secret Service nearby, but no one noticed.
Cast member Camryn Manheim told ET that the teenager is ‘graceful and lovely, and just charming and delightful’, and added: ‘When you get hoisted into the spotlight like that, and you grow up under the scrutiny of everybody, to come out being so charming and in charge of herself with so much poise, it's beautiful.’
Malia turns 16 on July 4 and, as yet, has not revealed what she’ll study in college.
Even former President’s daughters score big when it comes to the entertainment industry. It was reported last week that Chelsea Clinton was paid a yearly salary of $600,000 by NBC to act as a special correspondent.
