She could have probably gone to any college in the entire country, or world at that, but Madonna’s teenage daughter has rather sweetly decided to enroll at the University of Michigan where her mother went back in the 70’s.
17-year-old Lourdes Leon, who often goes by the name Lola, has signed up for the undergraduate music, theatre, and dance programme and will graduate with a degree in fine arts and musical theatre.
Madonna subtly revealed her daughter’s choice when she Instagrammed a picture of the university’s merchadise store captioning it: ‘I think I'll stop in here! #unapologeticbitch’.
Lola and her mum had toured the college last winter, and Madonna has in the past made no secret of the fact that she wants Lola to go there, saying she kept telling her Ann Arbor is an awesome place.
Lola attended the La Guardia High School of Music & Performing Arts in New York City, which happens to be the school on which the TV show Fame was based.
As previously reported, Lola wrote a very endearing blog recently, reminiscing about her ‘unfortunate’ choices in outfits over the course of her high school years. We feel you Lola, we really do.
This girl seems so cool, so well adjusted, and that she has chosen to attend school where her mother went is just so, well, normal and admirable. Madonna has done a really great job as a mother.
