When it comes to star signs, most of us fit in to two camps. You're probably either an ardent believer, or you think it's all complete and utter nonsense. Madonna, it seems, is a big fan of all things astrology. And she apparently takes her beliefs a little bit further than just checking up on her horoscope, as she reportedly lets the stars determine who she works with.
Speaking over the weekend, David Guetta claimed that the iconic singer approached him to producer her 12th album, MDNA - which was released in 2012 - but hastily dropped the idea when she found out his star sign.
Ouch.
Madge was apparently first interested in hiring the French producer after he won a Grammy Award in 2011 for remixing her 2009 track Revolver. 'She tells me that she loves this remix and she suggests that I produce her next album,' David said (in French) on Mcfly et Carlito on Sunday. 'I arrive for lunch. We talk about everything - the music, what she wants to do with the album. Super nice. It's just her and me. Very relaxed, very cool. We have lunch. It's happening. very good and you wonder when we start working together.'
But then the big question arose and Guetta told Madonna, a Leo, that he was a Scorpio - leading to disaster. The DJ added: 'Suddenly, she makes a face and she says to me, "I'm sorry, we're not going to be able to work together. It was a pleasure to know you. Goodbye!"'
Though it might have been awkward to be rejected by the Queen of Pop over a star sign, we're sure David has recovered - he is the 5th richest DJ in the world, after all. But do we wonder if Madonna's obsession with star signs will be covered in her upcoming self-directed biopic...
