We do like what Lupita did when she got papped on the beach in Hawaii, though. The actress created a comic strip-style collage on her Instagram, and captioned the image: ‘The paparazzi: They got me good!!! #FirstPapStakeout #ZoomLensesSuitableForHorrorFilms’
We love a lady that has a sense of humour about stuff, and a talent for creating lols images for social media is also a plus.
In other Lupita news, it’s been announced that she will star in an adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s novel, Americanah. The story is based on two young Nigerians, Ifemelu and Obinze, and their lives as immigrants in the US and the UK.
‘It is such an honor to have the opportunity to bring Ms. Adichie’s brilliant book to the screen,'she said. 'Page after page I was struck by Ifemelu and Obinze’s stories, whose experiences as African immigrants are so specific and also so imminently relatable. It is a thrilling challenge to tell a truly international story so full of love, humor and heart.'
She’s also got a part in the new Star Wars movie, which will begin shooting soon. So we have loads of Lupita to look forward to. Which is nice.
