You’d have thought that Lupita would be a bit narked with Jennifer Lawrence and her funny faces after they won the Hunger Games actress a BAFTA over her.
However, the 12 Years A Slave actress responded very graciously when David Letterman brought up Jennifer Lawrence when she visited his talk show..
She explained that when she met Jennifer at the SAG awards, she was very starstruck:
'I met her at the SAG Award' she said 'and I turned around and she saw me at the same time as I saw her and she made this ridiculous face of shock, and she beat me to it because had she not reacted like that, that would have been the look on my face.'
And when Letterman said JLaw’s a bit too ‘kooky’ for him, Lupita kindly responded: ‘I just love the faces she makes’
Besides that, she bigged up Oprah as she talked Letterman through just some of he photos she took at the ‘She was particularly happy about meeting Oprah. For the first time I saw her starstruck. She’s not usually starstruck but with Oprah she was like “Oh my god, Oprah! You grew me up!”’
She added: ‘I learned so much from Oprah…it was the one show our mother would let us watch.’
