LucasFilm And Disney Are Pissed About Those Amy Schumer Pics

In a recent Star Wars-themed GQ shoot, Amy Schumer posed with Storm Troopers, C-3PO and R2-D2 in a variety of fruity shots. One, for example, sees her in bed with the robots twiddling one of R2-D2’s knobs. Not that sort of knob. But still, it’s pretty racy (and funny).

There’s been a bit of an outcry in various corners of the internet from people shocked as to how these family friendly characters are being used, and it turns out that LucasFilm and Disney are both pretty pissed as well but unfortunately can’t actually do anything because the pictures are quite clearly parodies. Legally, that means they fall under the category of Fair Use. Even though Amy is, in one of the pictures, giving a lightsaber a blow job.

‘LucasFilm & Disney didn’t approve, participate in or condone the inappropriate use of our characters in this manner,’ they responded to various people on Twitter. Clearly trying to distance themselves from the whole thing.

We find it pretty funny, though. And Amy Schumer is on an absolute roll – her TV series has been a massive success, her film Trainwreck is set to smash it at the box office, and she got to twiddle R2-D2’s knob. It doesn’t get better than that.
