It turns out the island wasn’t his first TV endeavour, Dom Lever once appeared on E4’s teen drama Skins. The hunky Mancunian’s acting past was revealed by eagle-eyed Twitter users who took to the social media platform this week to expose the islander’s cameo alongside series regular, Kaya Scodelario.

Love Island fans went crazy when they saw the initial tweet featuring a short clip from the episode captioned with ‘Tell me that isn’t Dom From Love Island in Skins UK'. However, the claim was met with uncertainty and several fans proceeded to tweet Dom directly, desperate to know if indeed it was the islander.

Eventually Dom replied to the influx of tweets and confirmed his appearance by bluntly stating ‘yes’ – alongside the well loved crying laughter emoji. Embarassed, Dom?

His blink and you’ll miss it role shows Dom all fired up himself as he checks out Kaya’s infamous character Effy Stonem strut past him in the corridor. His appearance in the final season of the hit series, which focuses on Effy’s move into the big bad world after high school, shows fresh-faced Dom trade his (ridiculously short) swim shorts for a suit and tie.

So, was keeping schtum on his claim to fame a bad decision? Considering how popular Skins was back in the day with teens, his appearance would have gained him some votes from the OG lovers of the drink and drug fuelled college drama for sure.

Perhaps you should have taken a leaf out of your fellow islander and notorious name dropper Marcel’s book, Dom.

Girlfriend Jess Shears has of course now replaced Miss Stonem as the apple of Dom’s eye. Their relationship has been branded a showmance since leaving the villa, however yesterday Jess once again hit back at Twitter trolls, ‘Tweet me in ten years when Dom and I are still happy together’.
