Eve and Jess Gale are among a group of eight Love Island stars who have been accused of flouting the government’s coronavirus guidelines after partying at an Essex apartment.

The twins celebrated the launch of their hair extension collection before heading to a party with a group of their former co-stars, which reportedly included Rebecca Gormley and her boyfriend Biggs Chris, Eva Zapico and Casa Amor bombshells Joshua Kempton, George Day and Alexi Eraclides.

The reality stars, who all rose to fame on the first ever winter edition of the ITV2 dating show earlier this year, documented their night out on social media and could be seen breaking the rule of six and failing to observe social distancing.

According to the Daily Star, Biggs, Josh, Alexi and George met up for lunch at Essex hotspot Sheesh before heading to the apartment to party the evening away with Rebecca, Eva, Jess and Eve.

In one picture shared on his Instagram story, Alexi poses next to Biggs, who has his arms around Eva, George and Eve.

In another video, Biggs films as the Islanders dance next to each other while failing to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

This isn’t the only controversy that former beauty queen Rebecca has found herself involved in recently as she was accused of 'cultural appropriation' by fans after sharing snaps from a photoshoot where she dressed in a traditional Native American outfit.

Meanwhile, Laura Whitmore has revealed when we can expect Love Island to return after both the summer 2020 and winter 2021 series were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. 'It's really all depending on coronavirus,' she told Tyla{ =nofollow}.

'We've had more applications than ever - there's a lot of people that want to do Love Island and there's a lot of people that want to watch it. I really missed not having Love Island in lockdown - I've been watching the old series because I really needed to not watch the news. They're so naughty. Hopefully we will be in a better situation next year.'

Fingers crossed, eh?
