Oh, Love Island - where do we begin? As promised by Caroline Flack, last night's offering was explosive. Casa Amor came to an end, and with it, the Islanders had to recouple, with devastating consquences. Perhaps most shocking - apart from Curtis’ admission that he’s not been entirely honest with Amy - was Michael’s decision to dump Amber in favour of new girl Joanna. As a consequence, a heartbroken Amber is probably going to be leaving the villa tonight - and one of the villa’s sturdiest couples will have crumbled to dust.
You only need to glance at Twitter to see that most people aren’t happy about the Liverpudlian's antics, with thousands of people standing in Amber’s corner. (Admittedly, some people have been supporting 27-year-old Michael, saying that he simply realised Amber, as a 20-year-old, was immature.)
But one person that seems to agree that Michael is in the wrong is... Himself. Or, at least that's what one of his biggest Twitter fan account thinks.
Sending a gif of a man throwing money into the air, @Mac_Griffsretweeted to their 15k followers last night, ‘Throwing away £50k like.' And, proving our theory that Yewande is the fortune teller of this year’s series, ‘he’ tweeted earlier in the episode, ‘When Yewande was right about you being a heart breaker…’ (Leading up to last night’s programme, the account also shared, ‘ON BEHALF OF MICHAEL I APOLOGISE FOR WHAT YOU ALL JUST SAW... Let’s not PANIC’)
However, unfortunately, the tweets looks like they might all be tongue-in-cheek, because, at the end of the episode, whoever responsible for the account shared their thoughts on the calamity caused by Michael. ‘Some thoughts,' it started. 'Like it or not, Michael followed his heart, he confronted Amber several times for being childish. It wasn’t behind her back,’ before then adding the scathing, 'Anna needs to mind her own business #bye. From now, Curtis giving advice is about as useful as Stevie Wonder taking an eye test. #loveisland.’
A Love Island spokesperson confirmed that the account isn’t associated with him or his friends/family.
