Love Island’s Lucie Donlan And Luke Mabbott Are Engaged

Big news forLove Island fans::a[Luke Mabbott]{href='https://graziadaily.co.uk/life/tv-and-film/love-island-2020-still-together/' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'}{ =nofollow}and Lucie Donlan are ENGAGED. Yep, even though Luke and Lucie didn't meet on the same series of the show - they still managed to have a cross-series romance which has stood the test of time.

Luke and Lucie announced the news like everyone else would... On Instagram. In a caption accompanying an adorable selfie of the pair on holiday in Finland, the pair wrote: 'Mrs Mabbott to be…💍♥️ The northern lights made an appearance for the perfect moment to pop the question. A night we will never forget..' Awww.

The post has been flooded with well wishes, with quite a few from fellow Love Island stars. Georgia Steel said: 'Awh how lovely. Congratulations guys.' Meanwhile Molly Smith, who was on the winter series with Luke, wrote: 'OMGGGG!!!!! Congratulations'. Maura Higgins, who was on the same series as Lucie, shared the post to her Instagram story, and added: 'Massive congratulations to this adorable couple. You will make the perfect bride.'

Lucie appeared on the 2019 series of Love Island, and among trying to make the word 'bev' (a hot man) a thing, she dated Joe Garratt. Luke - who was known on his series for his resemblance to Justin Bieber - dated Demi Jones when he was on the inaugural series of Winter Love Island in 2020. But neither of those romances were to be.

Since meeting outside the villa, Luke and Lucie have been dating since July 2020, and they moved in with each other pretty quickly, after dating for around six months. Their relationship has been going from strength to strength, with Lucie previously telling new! magazine: 'We've been together six months now and it's been a dream. I never thought I'd meet someone like him. He's a best friend as well as a boyfriend. Luke is so calm and caring. He's very positive and I just love spending every minute with him.'
