Love Island's Anna Vakilihas returned to her previous job as a pharmacist because she wants to help out during the coronavirus pandemic. The reality star announced the move on Instagram today, posting a picture of her working behind the counter. 'First day back working as a pharmacist since leaving Love Island,' she wrote. 'It’s been almost a whole year! Wow, can’t believe how fast it’s gone.'
'Wasn’t really planning on registering yet but with everything that’s going on it felt wrong not to,' she added. 'We can all fight this together. Stay safe. Stay home. Save lives.'
Fans and friends alike have been impressed with Anna's decision, with hundreds of people commenting well wishes on the post. 'My gorgeous girl,' Love Island winner Amber Gill wrote. 'You are amazing.' And fellow Love Island alumni Laura Anderson added, 'Omg!!! I love you. Well done my girl. So proud!'
Anna entered the Love Island villa last year, and with 1.2million followers on Instagram, it's clear she didn't need to return to work - but just wanted to help out in these difficult times.
And Love Island's Malin Andersson has also returned to her job as a carer amid the pandemic. 'So I’ve decided to return to my former job as a carer throughout this horrible period,' she wrote on Twitter. 'For those that don’t know I became a carer for the elderly/palliative care after my mum died and it brought me so much satisfaction. I can’t sit at home on my own anymore knowing I have training within the sector. My heart hurts for them, and if I can give something more than what I’m doing - then I am satisfied.'
