We’ve all been patiently waiting for this day. The day new Louis Theroux news drops in our laps. The day not just new Louis news, but a new Louis trailer hits the headlines. That day is finally here. The wait is over. Louis.Is.Back.

My Scientology Movie is set to be released in UK cinemas later this year (yes, that’s right – it’s on the big screen) and until now it’s all been very hush hush. This time Louis is on an adventure into the realms of scientology, a subject I literally know nothing about, and for the purposes of this article will not comment on, as according to Dazed one should tread carefully when discussing this topic.

This documentary doesn’t actually go inside the church, probably because it was 100% not allowed. Instead, actors reenact the violent behavior of senior members of the church, using information and experiences from ex-Scientologists. If that sounds weird, just watch the trailer because it made me feel funny and I got actual goosebumps towards the end. That and Louis gets the camera turned around on him – a precursor a documentary on Louis Theroux in the future? We bloody hope so.

*Empire are hosting an exclusive screening of My Scientology Movie as part of Empire Live at the O2, 23-25 September. Get your tickets here. *
