Emma Stone is apparently headed to Broadway, taking on the role of Sally Bowles in Cabaret, a role that’s currently played by Michelle Williams.

Emma was actually supposed to play the role last year, but filming schedules came between her and treading the boards so she had to put it off, but it looks like she could be on stage in the legendary production later this year.

The character of Sally Bowles is a showgirl who meets an Americam writer at a Berlin club in the 1930. The revived musical has become a massive hit on Broadway and is currently scheduled to run through to January 4, in which case Emma would be a part of the production for just a couple of months. No doubt those shows will sell out, so you know, if you're going to be in New York get your tickets stat.

Stone is currently shooting her second Woody Allen movie in Rhode Island alongside Joaquin Phoenix. She recently starred as a medium in the controversial director’s most recent offering* Magic In The Moonlight. *
