A couple a years ago, if you said Lizzo, the person you were talking too would probably have assumed you were confused about to pronounce lizard.

But now we are living in the Era of Lizzo, Lizzo World, under the rule of Queen Lizzo, first of her name.

If you watch her VMA performance then honestly, you'll understand why.

She did a medley of songs including Truth Hurts and Good As Hell. The incredible show also featured oodles of dancers and at one point, leotards with the bums cut out.

She then paused between songs to make an impassioned speech about the struggles of loving yourself in a world that 'doesn't love you' back, which from the audience reactions had some serious resonance.
