Many of us have spent a minute or two wondering what Lindsay Lohan is up to. Both in the existential and vocational sense. There's that new TV show, Sick Note, that she's due to appear on with Rupert Grint. There was also a play on the West End that sadly didn't go down that well. But Lindsay, the entertainment chameleon that we have avidly watched grow from the Parent Trap to Mean Girls to political commentator and wannabe beauty impresario, has returned to the acting. Kind of.
LiLo has taken up the super exciting new role of spokesperson for Lawyer.com. If you're in the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom and in need of a legal representative, Lindsay Lohan's face is there to guide you to their services.
'Why?', you ask? Silly question. Lindsay Lohan is an international entrepreneurial force to be reckoned with and her talents know no bounds. But also, luckily there's this painfully cringe video to tell you why precisely Lindsay Lohan joined Lawyer.com.
‘When Lawyer.com first reached out to me I was confused and a little scared because I thought I was in trouble’, Lindsay chuckles. ‘But when they asked me to be their spokesperson, I was intrigued’.
Lindsay goes on to explain while stood against the backdrop of a clean, staff-less office adorned with pink orchids and a coordinating water cooler, ‘that Lawyer.com is just about helping people’.
‘From getting a DUI – let’s not pretend I didn’t get one… or two, or three, or some others’, Lindsay added in a not so discreet reference to her multiple arrests in the late noughties, ‘it’s so simple, and it’s free’. All one has to do is go online and get started and if you were in doubt about the legitimacy of this whole operation don’t worry because Lindsay gives the camera an awkward All American wink and giggle at the end for reassurance.
Crazy, isn't it? In the company press release, 'actor and actress', Lindsay says that she's 'I'm excited to work with Lawyer.com because I know how hard it is to find quality legal help and this is a great opportunity to help people in need'.
Great opportunity, indeed. With any luck, if you do find yourself in need of a Lawyer, Lindsay will be on the other end of the phone to point you in the right direction and maybe fill you in on where on earth we'll be seeing her pop up next.
