Lindsay Lohan has been papped holding a Koran, leading some to speculate that she might be converting to Islam, because there’s obviously no other reason someone might read a religious book (even though there’s equally no reason why basically every hotel room in the UK has a Bible in the bedside table).
The actress who was previously residing in London, was in Brooklyn, New York after a day of community service at a children’s centre. She arrived two hours late, says the MailOnline.
She’s also, they’ve handily pointed out, of Irish and Italian heritage and was raised as a Catholic, and later seemed to follow the Jewish offshoot religion of Kabbalah (you know the one where people like Madonna wore red string bracelets around their wrists) before apparently joining Courtney Love’s Buddhist chanting group.
However, if she wants to convert to Islam, or at least read a book telling its story, it’s pretty much up to her, right? So what if she wants to believe in a billion things or nothing at all? Whatever gets her through, we figure.
It’s not the first time she’s been interested in things Arabic, either. Remember the time she posted a picture on Instagram with a message in Arabic? And the message had ‘You’re beautiful’ underneath? But it actually translated to ‘You’re a donkey’? We do. It was lol.
Hopefully, her Arabic’s a bit better these days, as it’s recommended that people read the Koran in its original language.
