Lily Allen has sparked a lively debate on her Twitter page after posting that she is now quite ‘excited’ about Brexit following the referendum results.
The singer took to social media to post a series of tweets about the state of affairs, calling for article 50 to be invoked (which would trigger the EU withdrawal process to begin) and calling for her fans to rally against Boris Johnson’s likely campaign to become the new Prime Minister.
She also launched her own campaign for PM.
(But she was joking. Shame.)
The tweets prompted a backlash from fans, but she stood her ground:
She then urged her fans to #StopBoris becoming Prime Minister.
Which can mean only one thing:
Oh. Shame.
