Wait, Did Liam And Millie Meet Before Love Island?

Instagram says maybe...

Liam and millie

Jake and Liberty might be the first official couple on this year's Love Island. But Liam and Millie are undeniably a favourite with fans, and contestants who have already left the villa. Honestly, most former islanders have said the couple they're willing to win is team Lillie, as their love story has probably been the most convincing this series.

But some very perceptive fans have noticed that the couple might have met before their time in the villa.

Say what now?!

Yep, we're not joking - according to Instagram, the love-birds were both in Ibiza around the same time. And they were both spotted at O Beach Ibiza (yes, the same club ran by Celebs Go Dating's Wayne Lineker). On September 12 2018, Millie posted a photo of herself at the club, and wrote the caption: 'I want to go back to yesterday.' Fast forward five days, and Liam also posted a picture at the location.

Unfortunately, we don't have super powers - and we don't know if the pair actually met. But even if they didn't, it's still such a coincidence they were on the same kind of holiday around the same kind of time.

And of course, we can't forget that this series Hugo and Chuggs actually knew each other. So it really can be a small world inside the Love Island villa.

To be honest, we're kind of hoping it is true and Liam and Millie did meet years ago - it'd only make their already perfect love story just that little bit more perfect.

Meanwhile, we'll be rooting for Liam and Millie to stick together as Casa Amor kicks off on Love Island tonight. One person who isn't worried about the new villa is Hugo, who says in the episode: 'I love it, I absolutely love it. Casa Amor is my new beginnings, it’s my fresh start. We’ve got a new Hugo sitting right here.' Liberty also tells the girls that she expects Jake to stay loyal... Only time will tell.

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 tonight.

Maura Higgins (series five)

Irish ring girl Maura Higgins was reality TV gold from the moment she stepped into the villa and fed Michael Griffiths dessert on their date just to rile up the OG girls. She then got the fanny flutters for Tommy Fury and tried to steal him from Molly-Mae Hague with the classic line, 'Does she turn you on like I do?' While she didn't manage to bag her man, she later coupled up with Curtis Pritchard who she dated until March 2020.
