Liam Payne has finally confirmed he’s engaged to girlfriend Maya Henry after she was pictured wearing a reported £3million engagement ring on a night out in London last week.
The 20-year-old model, who first went public with Liam last year, was spotted wearing the huge sparkler on her ring finger, leading to speculation that the One Direction singer had popped the question.
He’s now spoken out about the happy news for the first time during an appearance on US TV show Good Morning America.
After being congratulated on his engagement by the show’s hosts, Liam said, “Thank you, we’re just really happy.
“The last week I’ve had a birthday, my son has gone to school for the first time today, so it feels like a lot of firsts for me actually, which is great."

“They’re in no rush to tie the knot but Liam wanted to show his commitment by proposing now,” a source toldThe Sun.
“He knows they will be together forever so they are going to take their time in organising a wedding. They don’t have any plans for it yet.
“Liam is absolutely smitten with Maya and living together in lockdown made him realise she is absolutely the one for him.”
