Over the past year, Lewis Capaldi has become a bit (aka a lot) of a legend/national treasure. He casually created the UK’s biggest 2019 album - Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent - and biggest song of the year, Someone You Loved. It’s fair to say he’s a big deal, so it's no surprise that he was invited to the Grammys with the biggest names in the industry.

Not that he’s ever let the fame get to his head, though. One of the reasons Lewis is so popular, aside from his crazy talent, is because of how bloody funny he is. And when he got into an awkward encounter at the Grammys, he thankfully saw the amusing side of it.

This sounds like a myth, but each year at the Grammys, when celebs go up to use the bathrooms, there are people who fill the seats. And awkwardly, Lewis got mistaken for one. Following the #awks experience, he tweeted, ‘A lady at the grammys has just come up and offered to take my seat because she thought I was one of the people who sits in the chairs to fill them when someone gets up to use the bathroom.’ Ouch.

The Scottish singer sure did have a good time though. A video emerged on the internet of Lewis partying with real-life couple Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, where they all seem to be having the time of their life singing to One Direction’s Steal My Girl. Now, that's a night out we'd like to attend - can we get an invite next time?
