As with most of her projects, Lena Dunham announced her newest thing on Twitter on Wednesday, revealing a T-shirt she’s designed for Planned Parenthood.
‘So proud and pleased to share the official shirt of my book tour, on sale to benefit Planned Parenthood,’ she tweeted, alongside a picture of the T-shirt, which uses the same typeface as her Not That Kind Of Girl book cover and reads ‘Lena Hearts Planned Parenthood’.
The limited edition T-shirt is being sold in support of the 2014 ‘Women are Watching’ Planned Parenthood Action Fund – the electoral and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America – campaign.
It’s the same colour pink as the T-shirt Scarlett Johansson got a ton of shit for when she designed her version a few months ago, but Lena’s is cooler. The font itself is pretty, unlike the outdated one on Scar-Jo’s.
A few of Lena’s friends, including Ellen Page, Sarah Silverman, Mindy Kaling and Janet Mock, have already taken selfies in the T-shirt, and Lena says there’s many more to come.
‘Cannot overstate how thrilled I am about the women rocking this T-shirt... A slew of them... Tomorrow..’, Lena wrote, which makes us wonder which of her pals will rock the pink tee on her timeline tomorrow? Taylor Swift, we’re waiting!
