The last ever season of Girls is set to air later this month, and if the thought of life without Hannah, Marnie, Jessa and Shoshanna is too much to bear, then we have some good news.
It appears the foursome will be reunited for a movie. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at a press junket, Lena Dunham confirmed that a big screen adaption was on the cards. "We're doing the movie," Dunham told the magazine.
However, fans need not get too excited as the movie is still a long way off. Dunham suggested that there would be a significant time gap before the characters could reunite.
“I’d just want to leave enough space so that we are finding them in a super different place than we left them,” Dunham said.
Dunham’s co-producer Jenni Konner agreed adding: "We feel like no one necessarily needs to hear from us right now. But if someone wants to do the movie, we'll do it."
A Girls movie wouldn't be the first film project for Dunham. Dunham wrote and starred in the award-wining 2010 indie flick Tiny Furniture.
